The Irish Women’s Open
As Europe’s largest asset Manager1, Amundi is delighted to become the premium partner of the KPMG Women's Irish Open . The tournament, which will take place on Dromoland’s 450-acre estate's 18-hole Championship Course, marks the return of the Ladies European Tour to the Republic of Ireland, after a ten year absence, and is supported by the Irish Government and Clare County Council.
This partnership is another step in Amundi's long-term commitment to women's golf . In 2021 Amundi became the title sponsor of the women's golf major in Evian, France “The Amundi Evian Championship”. It took its commitment one step further in 2022 with several new developments, including the relaunch of a LET women’s tournament in Germany as well as the creation of two new teams of up-and-coming female players in the U.S. and in Asia following the launch of the Europe Amundi Team last year. With the support of its Women Talent programme, the creation of these teams aims to foster opportunities for women golfers in order to help them emerge on the international golf scene, in keeping with Amundi’s strong belief in equal opportunities.
Commenting on the partnership, David Harte, Chief Executive Officer of Amundi Ireland, said:
“We are proud be the exclusive asset management partner of the KPMG Women’s Irish Open. The partnership is another important step in Amundi’s long-term commitment to women’s golf, in keeping with our convictions about diversity and equality. Professional golf in Ireland is at an all-time high at the moment, so the return of this Ladies European Tour event is timely and we are delighted to be a part of it. I look forward to watching the four talented players from our Europe Amundi Team competing on Irish soil for the first time and wish them, and all the other players, the best of luck.”
Four players from the Europe Amundi Team will compete in the KMPG Women’s Irish Open: Camille Chevalier, Lucie Malchirand, Karolin Lampert and Luna Sobron Galmes.
