Celebrating International Women's Day 2024

At Amundi Ireland we are committed to supporting women and incorporating diversity and inclusion into every stage of our employee lifecycle. International Women's Day provides an important opportunity for us to celebrate the continuous efforts to promote an inclusive environment, where everyone feels valued and has equal opportunities for growth and development.

Networking Breakfast

To mark International Women's Day 2024, we were delighted to host a networking breakfast for the wider Crédit Agricole group based in Ireland. Colleagues were welcomed to from CACEIS, CACEIS IS and KBI Global Investors to join Amundi's celebration.

Guest Speaker - Therese Coveney, Together Academy

In line with this year's global theme of inspiring inclusion, the networking breakfast kicked off with a speech by Therese Coveney, the Founder & Director of Together Academy . Established in 2021, the Together Academy is a unique training and employment non-for-profit organisation, aimed at providing young adults with Down syndrome with specialised skills, training, work experience and employment opportunities. They operate a school and training cafe out of  Wanderers Rugby club and in 2023 joined with Happy Out cafe in Dun Laoighre to open the baths cafe.

What we are Doing to Support Women

Achieving gender balance requires a comprehensive approach that goes beyond addressing average pay discrepancies. It necessitates creating an inclusive and supportive environment that encourages & facilitates the entry and growth of women in our industry.

At Amundi, our policies and initiatives aim to support women throughout their professional careers, with programmes such as;

  • Mentoring & Networking for women with senior role models
  • Executive coaching following maternity leave or career break
  • Flexible working arrangements

Spotlight on Education and Representation

We are actively working to increase the number of women choosing asset management as a career by focusing on education and representation;

Early Secondary School Students: Amundi's 'bring your daughter to work" initiative encourages colleagues to invite their daughters, nieces, neighbours or friends to a workshop that shows the wide range of careers available within the industry.

Transition Year Students: Amundi is a key sponsor for the Irish Association of Investment Managers and emphasize unbiased access to programme focused on careers in finance for transition year students.

University Students: The Amundi Women's Network Ireland initiated a programme in collaboration with 100 Women in Finance which targets final year students in finance and STEM subjects (Science Technology, Engineering and Mathematics) on how to build a career in investment management.

University Scholarship: Amundi provides a three-year scholarship and a mentorship programme for female students of finance at the National College of Ireland.
